Ecotourism

Posted in : Holidays on by : admin Comments:

If you are tired of the same old holiday, ecotourism gives you a chance to contribute to a conservation effort. It is important that we make a collective effort to stop damage to our environment. During your ecoholiday, you can help with endangered species, or with invasive species, and deforestation. All of these are important to the safety and security of our environment. An ectourism trip isn’t just helping conservationists, it is also just another holiday, with the same opportunities for relaxation and luxury, but you just spend half your time helping out. It can be a very enriching experience, which makes a nice change from your standard holiday. There are ecotourism opportunities around the world, in many different cultures, climates, and environments. You could find yourself helping to tag marine life with radio beacons, so that you can determine their species migration, and hopefully their breeding grounds. Or you could end up doing the same for endangered species in the Amazon or on the plains on Africa.

Posted in : Travel on by : admin Comments:

Rather than looking at hot summer holiday locations and travel to seaside locations, we’re looking at those who want to take an exhilarating expedition in the Antarctic. If you’re a bit of a daredevil or you just want to see a completely different side to the world as we know it, then you have to be mentally and physically prepared. Even in the summer, conditions will range from 41-56°F, so you have to make sure you wear the correct clothing. You also need to train well, and prepare yourself for the conditions, and making sure you’re fit enough and medically sound can be extremely important. Remember the Antarctic is a harsh environment, and it should be treated seriously.

Avoiding Tourist Locations this Year

Posted in : Travel on by : admin Comments:

When you look for a holiday destination or a place to take a break, you may see plenty of images showing it looking peaceful and secluded, but the fact is tourist locations will always have plenty of tourist traffic, so it can be beneficial to chose a location that actually is secluded, and perhaps different to anywhere you’ve ever been before. Africa is a continent that has areas that can only be explored on foot, and tit doesn’t get more remote than that. There is more access to Africa today, but the secluded locations are definitely still there. Specialist providers can have you stay in hidden locations, while there is still plenty to explore in terms of winding valleys, and monumental mountains. Seek a holiday specialist this year that focuses on privacy because you may just experience the life the way we’re supposed to; in peace without disruption.

Taking a Cruise Holiday for the First Time

Posted in : Travel on by : admin Comments:

A cruise can be unlike any other holiday, and you’re not often lodged in one place you’re constantly moving with stop-offs in various places. The problem with a cruise is that you may really enjoy a certain location, but you can’t hang around and you have to get back on ready for the next stop, which you may not enjoy as much. If you’re going on a cruise this year for the first time, then you should be aware of what to expect. You’re still likely to have a swimming pool a buffet style restaurant and evening entertainment; however, ships can often be crowded, while you should be prepared for a few rounds of sea sickness. Remember cruise ships are huge, and there will be plenty to do, whilst you can stretch your legs in the day and take in different clues rather than just the one.
